Using Activity Feeds

The Gateway includes a powerful tool for quickly finding information that is important to you. The Activity menu item has a drop-down menu which contains five pre-determined feeds that will show you the following information:

New Content Since Last Visit - This will show you everything that is new or has been revised in the entire Gateway since the last time you logged in.

Content I Started - This will show you all content you authored, with the newest additions and changes shown first.

Content I Follow - This will show you all content you manually chose to follow, with the newest additions and changes shown first.

Content I Posted In - This will show you all content you replied to, with the newest additions and changes shown first.

Members I Follow - This will show you all content posted or replied to by specific members who you chose manually to follow, with the newest additions and changes shown first.

In addition to the pre-determined feeds, you can also create your own feeds by clicking the "Create New Feed" button. This allows you to set your own very specific criteria. Once you save the new feed, it will remain permanently in your Activity pop-up menu (unless you delete it). You can rename and/or revise your custom feeds at any time.

By default, the "New Content Since Last Visit" feed is your default feed and will also show as a hotlink in the upper right corner of every main page. You can decide that any of your feeds (including custom feeds) will take this position so that finding the information you want is just one click away after logging into the Gateway.
