Heather O'Neill: Networking and Connecting with the Tabletop Community Online

Special Events
Salvius

In this special Live Twitch Broadcast, game designer and CEO of 9th Level Games Heather O'Neill, talks about networking and connecting online in 2020 due to travel and social distancing constraints.

Some of things Heather did this year: Ran the Unpub online convention, ran an online speed pitching event, launched an online hosted play service for role playing games, started running weekly team building events online for companies, did virtual pitches to other companies, started their own weekly game night with friends, and added games to Tabletop Simulator and Board Game Arena.

Whether you set up a weekly game night online or attended online conventions, connecting with the tabletop community during COVID is very different than in the past. How can we make these online experiences feel more like being in person? How can we make meaningful connections?  What are some tips to make your online gaming interaction fulfilling?

Heather will delve into some things that have worked for her as well as discuss some tips they've picked up from others throughout the year. What worked, what didn't? She will also answer questions.
